I Wilson 11.75” Bullnose Scimitar Carbon Steel Sheffield 1890-1920’s

Antique I Wilson Sheffield 11.75” bullnose scimitar (bullnose with curved spine) made in the late 19th or early 20th c with hand forged carbon steel blade, and six pinned beechwood handle. Blade has been sharpened in some and has some small patches of pits or stray grinder marks, nothing out of the ordinary for an old work knife like this. Handle has been either skillfully replaced or cleaned up and varnished with gaps at the inside tang filled in with hard putty. Often these handles get issues if the steel rusts and expands, the tang goes 1/2 way through so they can crack, this one doesn’t have that issue.
