Unusual vintage champagne saber made by Thiers Issard with a 270mm long flat evenly 4mm thick (no taper nearly flat edges) blade, brass guard with tether and stacked leather handle with aluminum pommel.
Hard to date this one but looking at the logo on the blade and the clip on the tether I think 1990s might be a good guess.
Perfect for sabering a bottle of champagne on D Day anniversary or whenever you want.
