J A Henckels 13.25" Slicer Carbon Steel Cherry Solingen Germany 1890s-1920s?

Hand forged and hand ground  carbon steel slicer with pinned cherry wood handle. Blade has the old serif letter head marking with 'Germany' with the wide twins placing this approximately from the 1890s when 'Germany' was required for import into the USA.

This knife had been sharpened down some and required a thinning we were able to do this without removing too much metal knife is ready to get back to work and cut smoothly. There were some gaps in the handle which have been filled in with epoxy which will keep the handle stable and secure. 

13.25" blade, 18" overall
