White microfiber strop with 30-80 micron sized pores on a natural rubber neoprene backing. This strop material holds medium and medium coarse (2 micron to 10 micron) compounds very very well, we have found it to hold onto compounds for a very long time, it cushions the particles a little during stropping so the cutting is just a hair slower than on a harder strop like our rubber bonded cork. The trade off for the very slightly slower cutting is a minimum of compound loss through flaking or powdering off, it provides an abrasive rich surface with very little give which aids in making flat fine finished edges.
These are less than .8mm thick making for very little give but with a soft, smooth draw. These have a thicker natural rubber neoprene backing making for a grippy surface on the underside.
We have been very happy with these in our tests and are really excited to introduce another top quality stropping material to our line-up.
2.5 oz Made in Japan.
