Sabatier Thiers Issard 4 Star Elephant 10" Slicer Carbon Steel 1960s early 70s

Sabatier Thiers Issard 4 Star Elephant Canadian pattern 10" slicer with carbon steel blade, and aluminum riveted POM handle. This knife was hand forged after being drop forged it appears by the slightly tapering tang, blade is very with small amount of flex.

Blade is very full, no wiggle or cracks in handle. Blade has very slight cant to the left on tip, but is minimal. It shows use and wear with some a few pits and dings to handle but otherwise its good to get back to work with a fresh edge.
