Sabatier Thiers Issard 4 Star Elephant 7.75" Yataghan Carving Carbon Steel 1960s early 70s

Sabatier Thiers Issard 4 Star Elephant Ideal pattern yataghan 7.75" carving knife with carbon steel blade, and aluminum riveted POM handle. This knife was hand forged after being drop forged it appears by the slightly tapering tang, blade is very stiff though. 

Blade is still full, no wiggle or cracks in handle. Blade is very straight with a very slight change in edge when sighted but will be imperceptible in use. It shows use and wear with some small pits and dings to handle but otherwise its good to get back to work with a fresh edge. 

7.5" cutting edge. 11.75" overall length 3.9 oz
