Vintage Pigextra Inox 5.75x8.5" Cleaver All Stainless France

All stainless French cleaver marked PIGEXTRA INOX France with 5.75" cutting edge and 8.5" at widest point. It is hard to date this one but it is possibly 1970s to 90s, possibly older. 

These cleavers were made for short powerful strokes separating joints especially lamb chops at the vertebra. The wide short blade brings a lot of force down with its weight without having to swing much.

This one is in excellent barely used condition, there is no evidence of being hit with a metal hammer and the finish is nice and clean.
