Refurbished Cuisine Massive / Nogent style chef knife made by LF&C in New Britain Ct from approximately 1900-1920. 

This knife was originally at least 12", it had a thick edge when we found it and it has been thinned to bring it to a nice thin geometry behind the edge. It has seen some rust leaving some pits and there is a hairline crack on the handle but all is secure. 

Made in the French style with a thin hand forged and hand ground after drop forged carbon steel blade with a iron ferrule and one piece ebony handle. Thin and light with some flex in the first 1/3 of blade it does not feel like a 12" knife.
