This Spyderco knife, designed by Michael Walker, is highly sought after and rare. It is made in Switzerland, in the same factory as the renowned Klotzli Knives which are also designed by Walker.

This particular knife is one of the early models first released in 1994 with ATS-34 and includes a blue anodized pivot and liner, as well as a numbered, satin finish spear point blade. The matte carbon fiber scales were provided by the Sauber F1 race team and blued titanium clip were the first of their kind to go into production.
It's numbered 1066, presumably of the 1165 total production of C22 knives.

Design Firsts:
First production carbon fiber handle
First production nested Walker-linerlock.
First production colored titanium clip.
Only Swiss made production Spyderco.
Custom made phosphure bronze pivot.

In this knife, Walker refined and popularized the lock design, eventually leading to a trademark for the name "Linerlock" in March 1990. Walker's improvement allowed for true one handed opening of the knife by removing the weak back spring and incorporating a heat-treated stop pin to align the blade in the open position. Additionally, Walker added a detent ball to keep the blade securely closed using the same spring force from the liner.

This knife is on consignment from a collector. It is in used condition and comes with original nylon zipper pouch and manual. Blade and clip show sign of wear with some spotting on blade face.
