In the waning moments of an Arctic sunset, a vivid purple haze is all that remains as the sky fades to black. Inspired by this mysterious spectacle, Benchmade crafted a unique EDC for the hardcore collector, the 2025 Gold Class 585BK-251 Mini Barrage®. Designed with fast-deploying AXIS® assist for boosted actuation, the 585BK-251 Mini Barrage® features premium purple haze Fatcarbon® handle scales, Abyss PVD-coated hardware, and a black DLC Battlewash finished CPM-S90V stainless steel drop-point blade. As ephemeral as this natural phenomenon, the Gold Class 585BK-251 Mini Barrage® is limited to 3,500 pieces and only available in 2025.

Benchmade knives are, in our opinion, one of the best everyday utility knives on the market. They are made in Oregon City, Oregon. Their heat treatments and locking mechanisms are top quality and they have a rock-solid Limited Lifetime Warranty.
