Trade in deba in excellent condition with saya but without the original packaging. This stainless steel knife shows some light usage via some light oxidation towards the heel and a barely dinged tip, though this could be some factory or out of the box damage as the weight over the knives can bang around in the box during shipping, etc. Selling as received to be able to offer a steeping discount.
Ginsanko debas could be the best catch-all deba due to their corrosion resistance and high sharpenability and fine edge taking and while there are other quality ginsanko debas out there, they are all expensive. Getting one in basically new condition for less than retail is always a steal.

This is a stainless steel knife. It should be hand washed and towel dried. Habitual dishwasher use will result in degraded edge and handle. Consistent long term exposure to moisture can lead to oxidation.
We recommend hand sharpening on whetstones. We have found that most Japanese knives perform best at a finer finish starting around 4000 grit. Avoid pull through sharpeners and non-water cooled mechanized sharpening. Ceramic honing rods are preferred.
