Beautiful old hand forged after drop forged semi flexible 14" round nosed roast beef slicer with 6 pin ebony handle from the heyday of American knife making.
Definitley American and most likely from LF&C of New Britain Ct. The square shouldered bolster is very much their style.
Blade has been sharpened in some and looks to have been thinned a bit a while back. It was done well and there are no heavy marks. Handle has had a hole drilled through for hanging and there is some wear on the handle but all in keeping with its overall level of use.
These are great for taking thin slices from large cuts, you will not run out of blade mid stroke with this one.
13.5" cutting edge
19.75" overall
8.5 oz
