Foster Bros 'US 1962' 10" Scimitar Carbon Steel Beech USA

Barely used 10" scimitar marked "US Foster Bros 1962" with carbon steel blade and beech handle secured with brass rivets. 

Foster Bros was sold in the late 1950s to Columbia Cutlery after the original Foster Bros plant closed. This knife is either from 1950s production stock that was marked in the 60s or made for Columbia Cutlery with the Foster Bros marks (which they owned and used) according to older Foster Bros dimensions, as this matches Foster Brothers production geometry. I suspect it was from the older 1950s Foster production.

In any case it's barely used and ready for action with a fresh edge.
