USA Domestic Shipping

We ship with USPS (2-7 day domestic shipping depending on order size and distance). Due to USPS Service Delays, shipments may take longer to arrive than anticipated. Please consider this when placing your order. 

Orders do not include shipping insurance coverage and signature confirmation on delivery by default. This is a selectable addition to the standard shipping rate at checkout.

The shipping rate with Insurance and Signature confirmation must be selected and paid for to have these features included on the shipment. Any order sent without signature confirmation and insurance will be sent at the risk of the buyer. We do not hold any responsibility over packages that go missing, stolen, lost or damaged at the fault of the carrier. Orders sent without insurance are eligible for the basic insurance coverage offered by the carrier (generally up to $100) in the case of a package being lost, damaged or stolen.

We have been generally willing, but are not obligated to help with recovery or resolution. All recovery options from the carrier must be exhausted prior to considered refunds or replacements. In the event a package is lost, damaged or stolen without signature or additional insurance added to the shipment, a USPS claim can be filed and can take 15-30 days to process once submitted to USPS. Orders sent with insurance coverage and signature confirmation are eligible for refund or replacement in the same instances. There is no option for signature without insurance or vice versa.

Please keep in mind that carrier errors do occur but affect a low percentage of the orders we fulfill.

  • Contact us to remove signature confirmation and insurance from over $500.

Shipping on non-standard, large, and/or heavy items are subject to additional charges with the option for Insurance and Signature Confirmation. These items include but are not limited to cookware, pantry items, sharpening stones. These charges are calculated automatically at checkout. 

International orders, Fedex, and UPS selected orders are not currently eligible for insurance options, but we're working on it.

Once a package leaves our shop and is processed by our third party shipping company, you will receive tracking information. From this point on, Bernal Cutlery will not be responsible for tracking, redirecting, finding, locating, inquiring about a package held at the local post office, or calling USPS for more information. If for some reason you don’t receive tracking information you can email us at info@bernalcutlery.com and we will send you the link. If something goes wrong on our end, we will do our best to get it figured out, but please understand that it could take additional time and we cannot discount an order due to human error. We will not charge the buyer additional shipping to get it back to the original address. 

International Shipping 

Our flat rate shipping with USPS First Class Mail & Priority International will arrive within 6-14 days. We also offer calculated rates from FedEx and UPS. However, there can be circumstances where shipping can take up to 3-5 weeks depending on location and processing. If you are expecting a package with either of these services, it is the buyers responsibility to monitor the tracking and to check if the package is being held with customs. Sometimes customs will hold packages for up to 3 weeks before returning to sender. 

We fill out the customs form on our end. We will NOT adjust the actual value of the order. The buyer assumes all responsibility for any additional fees associated with shipping items internationally (VAT).

If for some reason you don’t get a tracking number you can email info@bernalcutlery.com and we will send you the link. 

If you prefer to have more advanced tracking please let us know. This method is more expensive and we will bill you for additional shipping costs above our international shipping rate. USPS Priority International & USPS Express International are other options that have more advanced tracking.

If something goes wrong on our end such as, typo in address, zip, etc., we will do our best to get it figured out, but please understand that it could take additional time. We cannot discount the order due to human error. We will not charge the buyer addition shipping to get it back to the original address.
