Dear Industry Professionals and our Bernal Cutlery Community at large,

We want to share an update on how global trade tariff changes are affecting our business—and how we’re adapting to keep serving you with the same quality and care that define Bernal Cutlery. The impact has been significant, and we need to make some changes to limit the effect so that we can keep our prices as low as possible.

As you know, we partner with exceptional makers in Japan, Germany, France, Spain, and the UK. Recent international tariffs have added significant costs to importing these goods, as well as to materials used by some of our domestic suppliers. We’ve worked hard to absorb these increases quietly for as long as possible, but they have reached a point where we must make some small, temporary adjustments to remain sustainable.

Beginning Wednesday October 22nd,  Bernal Cutlery will:
  • Conduct a soft price increase on all kitchen knives
  • Pause all discounts, including those for industry professionals, for the time being. This will allow us to avoid dramatically increasing prices.
     
These steps will enable us to continue supporting our makers and uphold the high standards of craftsmanship we value so deeply, while keeping services and goods as accessible as possible. As soon as we can restore our usual discounts and pricing structure, we will.

We’re incredibly grateful for your continued support and understanding as we navigate these challenges — and we remain committed to offering you the same hospitality, expertise, and integrity that have guided us since the beginning.
