Bernal Cutlery Chromium Oxide | Extra Fine Ceramic Alumina Precharged Non-Woven Microfiber Strop

Non-woven polyester microfiber with 30-50 micron openings on a neoprene backing precharged with Chromium Oxide / Extra Fine Ceramic Alumina.

1 side chromium oxide approx 8000 to 15,000 grit mix and 1 side extra fine ceramic alumina approx 10,000 grit to 40,000 grit mix. A combo strop with progressive gradient mixes of chromium oxide for deburring fine finishes and a ceramic alumina side for further extra fine polishing. This is designed for razors or other tools which demand excessively fine finishes and is generally not recommended for knives. 

This strop material holds fine compounds very very well, we have found it to be an excellent material for the finer compounds we use. There is a minimum of compound loss through flaking or powdering off, it provides an abrasive rich surface with very little give which aids in making flat fine finished edges.

These are less than .8mm thick making for very little give but with a soft, smooth draw. These have a thicker natural rubber neoprene backing making for a grippy surface on the underside.

We have been very happy with these in our tests and are really excited to introduce another top quality stropping material to our line-up.
