R Wallace & Sons 3 pc carving set, carbon steel blade is marked 1835 R Wallace. R Wallace was in production from 1871 to 1955, this set looks like turn of the century to teens from the design of the handles and the high quality of grinding.
Set is in good shape for a used set separated from it’s original box. The forged hand ground blade had seen some rust, but not much mechanical sharpening, we cleaned and sharpened it and it’s ready for use. The steel has some small pits but still has some bite, fork has small kink on one tine, nothing that will impede use, the springed guard is nice and easy to use with no problems.
Knife is 14.75” overall with a 8.75” blade, fork is 11” steel 13.25”
