Vintage American carbon steel cleaver from approximately the 1930s to 60s with a custom made handle done sometime in the last 40 years most likely. 

Handle is a tropical hardwood set with with copper pins, it is obviously hand made with small irregularities. Blade has a fresh sharp edge.
