Vintage Dexter hollow ground carbon steel and rosewood 10" scimitar from the 1950's to 70's.
Blade has some pepperspots and a few pits from previous rust but is still pretty full, the handle is nic and secure although there are some dings on one side.
Before Dexter was best known for their inexpensive white handled stainless they made a big variety of knives utilizing industrial and hand work from the big pool of skilled labor in the North East which was the capital of American Cutlery.
This is the higher end of the Dexter butchery knives, the hollow ground knives were an upgrade of the standard ground Dexter line-up.
This blade is not stainless, expect a patina to form with use, it can rust so no dishwasher or soaking. Clean and dry after use.
10" blade, 15.5" overall length
