Tichet was one of the few knife makers to continue to make knives in Paris into the early 20th century and have a distinctive geometry and feel as well as the distinctive Lion stamp. The forging, heat treatment and grinding of Tichet knives in this era are really excellent, some of the best work being done in France at the time.

This knife was sharpened down some, originally a bit wider its edge got thick and was thinned along the faces to bring it back to a good geometry to slice with, the hot stamps are nice and deep so not much was lost.

The original ebony handle here has a few cracks but is still tight and secure, note the larger than average nickel ferrule with a brazed brass seam.

7.5" cutting edge, " wide at heel just shy of 12.5" overall length 3.32 oz
