Made for the Art Ullis cutlery and sporting goods shop of Tacoma Washington who imported knives from Solingen Germany until approximately the 1980s when the shop closed. This 10.25” chef knife was made in Solingen Germany in the 1960s judging from the aluminum rivets on teh solid wood (pear wood?) handle with short bolsters. This was made before hand grinding was abandoned in Solingen production like this but after hand forging after drop forging was stopped.
This knife is in excellent condition it has been sharpened very little and seen no major rust, the handle is free from cracks. There is a little guilloche file work done to the spine on the left side of the blade, very ususual, most likely done in the states and not in Solingen.
10 1/2” from tip to end of bolster, blade 1 7/8+” wide 15.5” overall 8.4 oz
