Vintage ‘Hammer Forged’ carbon steel 10.5” carbon steel chef knife made in the USA likely between the 1930’s and 60’s. This type of knife was similar to other American made carbon steel knives with a waffle stamp design hot stamped into the steel which was essentially stamped and then ground, they are not hand forged as the name implies. Same goes for Forgecraft etc.

The grinds and handles varied on these, this has a nice rosewood handle and a somewhat chunky grind, a good heavy work type knife here.

Knife comes with a fresh sharp edge.
