Unmarked 10" Scimitar Carbon Steel Cast Pewter Guard USA 1930-60s

Unmarked American 10" scimitar with hand ground carbon steel blade, cast pewter (Britannia?) guard with rabbat milled geometry, beechwood handle with brass rivets in barely used condition. Nice example of a good quality American work knife from the 1930s to 60s, looks a bit like some better Clyde knives from Ohio. 

Blade has a convex face, it is quite stiff but thins out behind the edge, it had been honed a few times before we ground a fresh edge, it is very full in next to new condition.
