These are the original patent holders to this iconic French regional style, double railed ring-locking pocket knife.  The mechanism is ambidextrous and can be locked and released by turning either left or right before securing. They're the quintessential for picnics, suitable for the small kitchen job, foraging, and straight up every day use.  Unlike other ring locking pocket knives, the double railed ring locking mechanism won't pop off or dislocate if forced open.

André Verdier has been operating as a family cutlery business since 1859.  The first registered name of the company was La Botte Couronée, founded by Antoine Delignére in Celles-sur-Durolle, near Thiers. Today, André Verdier products are entirely made in France.  Most manufacturing processes continue are performed in-house and 95% of Verdier's partners are within 40km of their headquarters, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of their products. Over the past several years, the business has adopted a modern perspective while continuing to honor the classic traditions famous to that of Thiers.
