Lily shape wood stamp and cylindrical cutter for making traditional Ligurian Corzetti pasta. Diameter 53 mm.

Make homemade Corzetti (also known as Ligurian Corzetti, croxetti or corsetti)- a typical Italian pasta born in Liguria.

The history goes that in Liguria around the Renaissance, the noble families wanted to showcase the family’s coat of arms as a sign of power, so why not put it on pasta? Handmade corzetti often had different engravings on the two sides: a cross was engraved on the second side, a tradition that (probably) gives the name to this characteristic fresh pasta shape. According to the tradition, Corzetti sauce is prepared with white meat, celery, onion and bay leaf, but it's a free country- use any sauce application you'd like!

Ligurian corzetti molds are made with woods without tannins and resins. The set consists of two parts: the first one is a "stamp", while the other one is cylindrical in shape and has an incised and concave part, useful for cutting the dough.
